House looked at Nyx a touch sharply at that confession. He didn't like the idea of Nyx having someone in his life who was bad for him. There was a world in which House could have been that person... but he was pretty sure he wasn't.

“You can’t control what they do," Wilson said. "You can control what you plan for, at least. That’s where we start.”

House's expression softened a little. "You can try. That's good."
