House dragged a finger down Fin's arm. "I'm sure people tell you all the time how beautiful you are," he said.

House closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh. "You make me feel things I haven't felt in some time."

"Tell me," Fin coaxed. "Tell me what you feel, what you want."

House's eyes slid away from him. He could say it, but talking about his feelings still made him uncomfortable. "You... relax me. You make me forget about my pain." Or take it away entirely, which was something House didn't want to think about too hard. Because how could he stop himself from... well, wanting to see Fin all the time? "And you make me feel..." He hesitated. "Wanted." Even knowing that it wasn't entirely real, House still felt that way.

"You are wanted," Fin assured him. "I shouldn't tell you this, but... I recently stopped seeing one of my clients because I didn't enjoy my time with them. I told Robin to give you higher priority. I'd rather work with you- I'd rather share time with you."

It was funny, because back on earth, if anyone he'd ever paid for sex had told him that, he would have absolutely not believed them, however convincing. But he had already decided sometime back that Fin didn't lie to him, and that was... comforting, perhaps. Or at least easier. If not occasionally confusing.

"That's... flattering." And it really was.

House was not exactly a romantic. He'd not been in a relationship since Stacy, and that was years ago, before he'd come onto this ship. But he didn't want one, either. And he wasn't an idiot; he knew exactly what this was and what this wasn't. And still...

"Do you ever worry about your clients getting too close?" he asked.

"Sometimes," Fin admitted. "But I try and make my boundaries clear. I can care for my clients and still call them clients. The way I'm sure you care for some patients and still call them patents. You can have compassion and love while still doing your job, yes?"

"I actually find it considerably easier if I don't," House said honestly. "Medical decisions are better made based on science than compassion."

"Whereas I do my best work when there's a connection," Fin smiled, stroking Greg's cheek.

"But if I fell in love with you that would be bad for both of us," House reminded him, but then before Fin could answer added hastily, "But you don't have to worry about that."

"I'm easy to enjoy, hard to love," Fin assured him. "I'm not worried, Greg. It's alright."

"Well I'm just as bad at falling in love," said House, and idly dragged his fingers down Fin's arm without even thinking about it.

Fin purred at the touch, tugging Greg down and kissing him slowly. This conversation was teetering on getting deeper than what felt safe.

House was thinking much the same thing, so it was a bit of a relief when Fin kissed him. For whatever reason he seemed to have this impact of telling him the truth, and the last thing he wanted to talk to Fin about was love. Or, say, Stacy.

When the kiss broke he sighed and said, "Part of me wants to do this all night, just because I can..."

"Well the night is all yours, we can do whatever you choose," Fin reminded him. "We're limited only by desire and imagination."

House ran his fingers down Fin's arm again.

"I understand if you don't want to tell me," said House softly, "but I'm very curious, what... you actually desire. What you want when it's about you."

"I- You won't believe me, but what I enjoy most is helping others unlock their desires," Fin confessed. "It's what I crave most, sexually. From people exploring their sexuality to unlocking kinks and fetishes, I love nothing more. One client recently learned they love feet. It's been a joy exploring that together."

That made a smile quirk at House's lips. He decided not to guess who it was. Though he might have.

Houe did believe him, though. "That almost makes me wish I had a kink."

"Perhaps you haven't discovered it yet," Fin teased playfully. "There's so many. Perhaps you like wearing frilly undergarments, or the colour red on your lover's nails..."

House laughed. "I think I'd much rather see you in frilly undergarments."

"Oh? That can be arranged," Fin grinned. "I can dress however you like next time we meet."

Though he hadn't considered it before, House did find the mental image appealing. "I will... remember that. Mmmm perhaps I ought to set up a standing meeting with you... something to look forward to."

"I'd like that," Fin said. "It would be nice to see you regularly."

House tangled his fingers into Fin's hair. "In all honesty, I can literally thinking of nothing more I'd rather spend my money on."

Fin felt something like guilt then. Because he did, truly, like Greg. It felt wrong in some ways to charge for their time. At the same time he was flattered, and certainly grateful. His work kept him on the ship.

Pushing those feelings away he leaned into the touch with a soft moan instead.

"Do you like that?" House murmured, tugging a little on his hair.
